Operating a SaaS model, they’ve built a successful business over the last 20 years and now serve over 800 customers. And with a significant investment, they’re now repositioning the whole business for further growth - something this role will instrumental in shaping.

Challenges;

  • There is so much to do, it’s a case of where do you start first
  • The role is strategic but also requires someone to roll their sleeves up and write and create content 

 

Key responsibilities of the Content Marketing Manager; reporting into the CMO, you’ll be responsible for putting together, and executing, a content marketing strategy to drive inbound leads and build authority. Day to day you’ll be involved in;

  • Strategy; own the content marketing plan
  • Content Planning; understand the buyers journey and map topic cluster to each stage in the funnel - this could be blogs, guest blogging, e-guides, video, PR - you decide 
  • Content Production; create and write the content 
  • Promotion; take original content and re-purpose it for different channels to amplify reach and maximise its value
  • Campaign Success; work with the wider marketing team to ensure content fits in with other campaigns, is optimised for search and can be tracked
  • Agency Management; manage the performance of a design agency

 

Skills & experience the Content Marketing Manager must have;

  • Content marketing experience in the B2B tech space - you could be at this level or looking to step up
  • Ability to research and then create content of the back of it
  • A natural attitude of - 20% create the content, 80% of the time we promote it
  • Excellent project management skills and a natural collaborator 
  • Degree educated - business, marketing 

 

Salary & benefits for the Content Marketing Manager role;

£50,000 - £55,000 basic + excellent benefits
