Why this role?

  • Take ownership of building and scaling the marketing engine in a fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company.
  • Join the leadership team of a business that has already secured major enterprise clients and is now scaling rapidly across Europe and North America.
  • Shape brand, demand generation, and category positioning in an emerging market where the company is creating a new space.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a marketing function that will expand over the next 12–18 months.

About the company

We’re working exclusively with an enterprise software scale-up that transforms how field-based industries (utilities, construction, energy, infrastructure) manage safety, productivity, and operational efficiency. Their platform uses video and voice analytics to replace outdated paper processes, providing real-time insights that prevent accidents, boost productivity, and deliver tangible ROI for customers.

With over £25M raised from institutional investors, revenues tripling in 2023, and ambitious ARR targets for 2026, the business is now investing heavily in go-to-market expansion. Already trusted by more than 100 enterprise customers—including major utilities and global infrastructure firms—the company is entering a crucial scale-up stage and needs a marketing leader to build a world-class demand generation and brand function.

The role

As Marketing Director, you will:

  • Own the marketing strategy and its contribution to pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Define positioning and messaging that cuts through with senior executives in industrial markets.
  • Build and execute multi-channel campaigns (ABM, events, paid, digital, content) that drive awareness, demand, and measurable ROI.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Product leadership to align marketing priorities with commercial goals.
  • Establish clear KPIs and a performance-driven culture, reporting regularly on results and optimising activity based on data.
  • Manage a small existing team and be responsible for shaping future hires (brand, content, events, demand gen).
  • Oversee a marketing budget (~£600k) and get the best from external partners and an outsourced SDR agency.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 7–10 years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally in scale-ups at £5m–£30m ARR.
  • Proven track record of building demand generation programmes that directly fuel pipeline and revenue.
  • Experience with ABM and enterprise sales motions is essential.
  • Strong balance of strategy and execution, you can roll up your sleeves and deliver campaigns as well as set vision and direction.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes (pipeline, SQLs, ROI).
  • Collaborative leader who can inspire a team, work cross-functionally, and build trust quickly.
  • Industry experience selling software to utilities, construction, or energy sectors is essential.

Application process

  • Introductory call with Market Recruitment.
  • Interview with CEO and CRO.
  • Final stage case study and leadership discussion.
