Senior Demand Generation Marketing Manager
Location: Remote (UK-based, quarterly team meeting in London or Gloucestershire)
Salary: £65,000–£80,000 base plus quarterly performance bonus
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Why this role?
- The proposition converts: Roughly half of all qualified discovery calls turn into signed clients. Marketing effort links straight to closed business you can point to.
- High-ticket commercial impact: With average client engagements valued at six figures annually, generating just two qualified conversations a week moves the needle for the entire company.
- Zero corporate bureaucracy: Report directly to the founder. Get decisions and budget approval on the same day without steering committees, multi-week sign-off cycles, or agency layers.
- Rich creative foundations in place: Step into an active setup backed by a decade of client data, recorded buyer calls highlighting real customer pain points, established search traffic, and in-house creative production.
- Surging market demand: Businesses across the UK and US are actively scaling technical capability, giving your campaigns an engaged, executive-level audience.
About the company
Our client is an established, profitable, eight-figure B2B technology services business that builds and embeds dedicated, senior software engineering teams into growing companies across the UK and North America.
Unlike traditional contingent recruitment agencies or hands-off consultancies, they provide full-time, vetted engineering squads supported by permanent regional infrastructure and purpose-built technical workflows. Backed by strong recurring revenue, exceptional client retention, and an average contract value of roughly £250k, they are investing in their growth engine to turn predictable demand into commercial scale.
Role overview
This role takes full ownership of our client’s inbound demand engine, focused on one clear commercial objective: delivering five qualified discovery calls each week.
You will not be building an entire department from scratch or stuck managing external agencies. Working closely with an in-house content writer, videographer, and technical engineers who build custom web tools and automations on demand, you will connect the entire customer journey—from targeted ad campaigns to high-converting landing pages and lifecycle nurture flows.
What you will be doing
- Funnel ownership: Manage the inbound journey end to end across website pages, capture forms, lead routing, and automated email nurture sequences.
- Hands-on paid media: Plan, build, and manage targeted campaigns across LinkedIn and Google search, supported by Meta retargeting.
- Audience targeting and data workflows: Segment target accounts, run signal-based data workflows, and refine lifecycle stages inside HubSpot.
- Conversion rate optimisation: Build, test, and iterate landing pages directly to turn incoming traffic into booked discovery calls.
- Customer proof in action: Package real client testimonials, case studies, and video assets into campaigns that establish immediate trust.
- Attribution and tracking: Maintain clean, reliable tracking across the entire funnel, reporting transparently on the channels and assets driving revenue.
What success looks like
- First 3 months: Full visibility across the inbound funnel, core conversion bottlenecks removed, and initial LinkedIn and Google campaigns running with clean attribution.
- 6 months and beyond: A reliable flow of qualified discovery calls booked every week, landing pages continuously tested, and marketing spend tied directly to closed revenue.
Skills and experience
- Proven demand-gen track record: Demonstrated experience running campaigns that generated measurable inbound pipeline, qualified leads, and booked calls in a B2B SME environment.
- Hands-on media execution: Practical background personally building and managing campaigns in LinkedIn and Google or Meta, rather than briefing external agencies.
- Commercial pragmatism: Experience working in lean scale-ups or SMEs where budgets need to deliver a clear return on spend.
- Lifecycle and marketing tech: Comfortable working with HubSpot (workflows, properties, and lead stages) alongside modern audience data tools.
- Landing page creation: Confident building, testing, and refining landing pages directly using modern CMS and web builders.
- UK work eligibility: Currently based in the UK with permanent right to work (sponsorship is not available for this position). Happy to travel for quarterly team strategy sessions in London or Gloucestershire.
Application process
- Initial discovery call with the recruitment team
- Video interview with the founder and chief executive
- Practical discussion exploring past campaign performance, funnel architecture, and pipeline metrics
- Final conversation and offer
