The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to help build and scale the digital marketing engine for a B2B financial services and technology business.
This is a hands-on, generalist role at a business where marketing is evolving fast and finally has senior buy-in. You’ll own core digital channels, work closely with the Marketing Director, and have real exposure to senior leadership — including the CEO.
If you enjoy variety, ownership, and being part of a function that’s growing rather than ticking over, you’ll feel at home here.
What you’ll be doing (day to day)
Think end-to-end digital ownership, not siloed execution.
Website & SEO
- Own the website (WordPress)
- Upload and manage content, create new pages using existing templates
- Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility and performance
- Work with internal IT and external developers on improvements
Social Media
- Manage and grow their social presence (primarily LinkedIn, with X and TikTok evolving)
- Plan and schedule organic content
- Support sponsored campaigns where needed
- Track performance and optimise based on results
Digital Campaigns & CRM
- Support email marketing campaigns and audience segmentation
- Play a key role in the evolution of the CRM
- Help assess requirements, improve adoption, and support future platform decisions
- Work closely with stakeholders to simplify and explain what “good” looks like
Insight & Improvement
- Track performance across digital channels using analytics tools
- Monitor competitors and digital trends
- Recommend improvements that actually make a difference
What success looks like
After 6–12 months:
- The website is well-managed, current, and performing better
- Social channels are consistent, professional, and purposeful
- CRM usage is improving, not avoided
- Senior stakeholders trust marketing recommendations
- There’s a clear case to grow the digital function further
What we’re looking for
This isn’t a graduate role — but it’s also not about being an expert in everything.
Experience
- 2–5 years in B2B digital marketing (in-house or agency)
- Hands-on experience owning a WordPress website
- Exposure to social media, email, and digital campaigns
- Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
Mindset
- Confident but patient — able to explain digital concepts simply
- Commercially aware, not “marketing for marketing’s sake”
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable juggling priorities
- Curious and open to learning (including AI tools)
Nice to have
- Light exposure to paid media or campaign testing
- Experience working in smaller or evolving marketing teams
Why this role is interesting
- Marketing is genuinely growing, not fighting for relevance
- You’ll have visibility and trust from senior leadership
- Clear progression as the team expands
- A collaborative, modern marketing culture inside a more traditional business
- Real ownership, not just execution
