Senior Product Designer
Location: London | Hybrid (One day per week in Central London but there is flexibility if candidates live further away). Travel from outside of zone 6 to London will be paid for by the company.
Salary: £75k–£85k base + bonus
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to play a critical role in shaping an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform used by frontline teams operating in complex, real-world environments.
This is not a “make it look pretty” role.
You’ll own design end-to-end — from understanding messy, real-world problems through to shipping intuitive, accessible experiences across mobile and web.
If you enjoy working close to users, handling ambiguity, and designing products that genuinely change how people work day-to-day, this one’s worth a look.
What you’ll be doing (day to day)
End-to-end product design
- Lead discovery, research, and problem definition
- Translate insight into flows, prototypes, and polished UI
- Ship designs that balance usability, speed, and commercial impact
User-led research
- Spend time with real users in real environments
- Plan and run interviews, site visits, and contextual research
- Turn insight into clear, defensible design decisions
Cross-functional delivery
- Work embedded in a cross-functional product team (PM, engineers, data)
- Collaborate closely, communicate clearly, and move fast
- Take ownership rather than waiting for perfect briefs
Design quality & systems
- Design within and evolve an established design system
- Champion accessibility, clarity, and consistency
- Raise the bar for craft without slowing the team down
Exploring what’s next
- Use rapid prototyping to test ideas quickly
- Experiment with new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted design
- Help shape how emerging interaction models land with users
What success looks like
After 6–12 months:
- Users adopt new features quickly because they make sense
- Design decisions are clearly grounded in real user insight
- Product teams trust design as a strategic partner, not just execution
- The platform feels simpler, faster, and more intuitive — despite growing complexity
What we’re looking for
Experience
- 5+ years in product design
- Strong B2B SaaS experience
- Designed for both mobile apps and web platforms
- Background in start-ups or scale-ups
Skillset
- Confident across discovery, UX, UI, and prototyping
- Strong visual design and interaction design fundamentals
- Comfortable with Figma, design systems, and collaboration tools
- Solid understanding of accessibility and inclusive design
Mindset
- Curious, pragmatic, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Happy getting close to users — including site visits when needed
- Self-starting, collaborative, and ego-free
- Interested in how AI is changing products and workflows
Ways of working
- Hybrid setup with at least one day per week in London
- Flexibility for exceptional candidates outside the South East
- Occasional UK travel for research and planning
Why this role is interesting
- You’re designing for real people doing real, physical work — not abstract dashboards
- AI is core to the product, not a bolt-on
- Design is valued, visible, and influential
- Small, high-calibre product team with room to shape how things are done
