A Marketing Assistant is an entry level marketing role within a marketing department. The job will encompass a variety of administrative tasks that supports the marketing team and helps them to deliver on their objectives. This type of role is best suited to someone who has recently graduated with a Degree in Marketing, or someone who has a few months hands on marketing experience.

Marketing Assistant Job Description

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and communication activities.

Responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant

  • Helping our team with our digital marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Develop content and manage a calendar of regular social media posts to support campaigns and wider company brand awareness.
  • Be the administrative point of contact for our agency and help them find assets e.g. logo’s, brand identity files etc.  
  • Launching new communication campaigns.
  • Supporting other marketing and communication projects with copywriting and content creation. 
  • Setting up and executing ads campaigns on different platforms with support from our Digital Marketer. 
  • Proofreading articles and other communications content.
  • Assign inbound and referred leads within the CRM to the relevant sales people.
  • Event planning support – support for managing events, setting up calls, research stage support, event evaluation support, reporting and analysis.
  • General administration as required.

Marketing Assistant Requirements

  • Either a marketing degree or some marketing experience in a full time job.
  • Experience using Google Docs, Canva, Photoshop or similar, creating marketing assets whilst following brand guidelines.
  • Experience of updating content to websites via a CMS.
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
