Working in competition to some larger and more established recruitment firms, we were selected to source a new Campaign Manager which would be an additional head to sit between the Head of Marketing and the Marketing Executive team - helping support on a strategic level as well as driving the execution of marketing campaigns as CitySprint continued to grow and diversify.
New Role- the role wasn't clearly defined
Level- striking the balance on the seniority of the candidate - not too senior but not too junior
Initially the key was to meet with CitySprint to understand their business and culture but more importantly get to grips with what sort of marketing professional they required. At the time there wasn’t a defined job description to work with, so we spent time with the client to help them formulate what they were looking for. We then helped create the job description and gave them a sense of what type of person would both be attracted to the role and suit it.
Then combining our contingency and search models we were able to tap into both active and passive candidate market. At any one time we only work on a select number of projects meaning we can invest significant time on each assignment – something that gives us an edge over our larger competitors.
This process resulted in a strong base of candidates and after meetings took place, we were able to put forward a select short list for 1st & 2nd stage interviews.
