Key responsibilities of the Head of Product Marketing role


This is the first product marketing role for the business so a great opportunity to shape it and make an impact. 

Strategy; create and implement a product marketing strategy that complements the business’ high growth objectives. 

Research; use qualitative and quantitative research to understand competitors, customers, why deals are lost to help inform you.

Product Positioning; build propositions for market segments and create high value messaging to attract and convert key persona’s. 

Sales Enablement; train sales on the market and key messages, and create tools for them to use in the field with direct customers / prospects and partners. 

Go-To-Market; help develop the go-to-market strategy, feed information in to help develop the roadmap and launch new products and features into the market.  

Content Marketing; help the business develop thought leadership content, white papers, blogs and presentations to build further awareness in the market. 


Skills & experience the Head of Product Marketing must have; 


You’ll be a specialist product marketer with experience of working in the B2B Tech space – SaaS or PaaS knowledge would be an advantage

You can be a product marketer looking to step up into a ‘Head of’ role

Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person. Ability to create and deliver presentations. 

Classic end to end product marketing experience with the ability to translate technical products into clearly articulated messages.

You’ll be a self starter and able to set up the processes and systems you need. 


Salary & benefits for the Head of Product Marketing role; 


£70,000 – £80,000 basic + 5% bonus & benefits
